Research pathway on Automated Guided Vehicles(AGVs)

  1. I wanted to see how Automated Guided Vehicles forklifts worked and their pros and cons over manual means of material handling system

  2. I initially prompted ChatGpt to define what is an AGV forklift and what different types there are to get a background overview.

  3. I then searched on google articles talking about the system and its pros and cons of the AGV forklift

  4. I read about the details of the different types of AGV forklift through a google search

  5. We then look to compare its advantages (AGV) over the traditional forklifts

  6. Learned that the main advantages of AGVs are its reduction of labor costs and increase in work productivity

  7. I then wrote a summary report with a thesis on the following technology based on the research done

  8. I researched on the disadvantages of AGV forklifts using articles found through a google search

  9. Learned that major disadvantage of AGVs are its high initial cost.

  10. I began to draft a thesis paper of 750 words including two supporting paragraphs for the technology and one disadvantage of the technology.
