Project Contributions

We are researching the viability of implementing smart suspension system of bicycles, specifically mountain bikes. Some of my contributions are: 

  • Brain storming and coming up with the idea of a smart suspension system
  • I also researched on whether there's already an existing technology where I found it is not widely used or adopted by many bicycle companies. 
  • I am also looking to find how to practically implement such technologies through further research.

  • Researched possible companies to propose to and found Aventon fits best as they have e-bikes and mountain bikes that suits the technology
  • I researched exciting technology and found KTM has a similar technology on their motorcycles. 
  • Researching on how to integrate such things to a mountain bike instead
  • Looked up the make up of a bicycle and where are the possible places to integrate the system of a bike; possibly the body frame or the handle bar
  • Crafted the problem statement

  • Researched through google and existing technologies the details of which sensors is needed and how the microprocessors will function

  • Researched through google search the average power supply each component would require in order to determine how much power it will consume
